What should be paid attention to in elastic fabric dyeing
The functionality and fashion of elastic fabrics are becoming more and more important in the textile market, but elastic fabrics are very particular about the requirements of dyeing process. The properties of elastic fibers and their fabrics affect various processes from pretreatment to fabric finishing.
Elastic fabrics and raw materials should not be stored for a long time. When spinning and winding, a large amount of silicone oil and other lubricants are used to improve the spinnability; In weaving and knitting, more oil and auxiliaries are used to ensure its good processability. During long-term storage, the degradation of these products causes yellowing of the fabric until the elasticity decreases. "Room temperature hardening" is a potential problem, which can cause permanent creases. If the storage period of the fabric exceeds 3 months, it shall be sealed in an airtight and light tight plastic film. Elastic yarn is always woven into the fabric under a certain tension. Heat setting can avoid streaks and wrinkles during dyeing and ensure good dimensional stability. Generally, the heat setting temperature is 180-190 ℃ for 30-45 seconds. Higher temperatures cause yellowing of elastic fibers and decrease in elasticity. Because silicone oil and lubricant will damage the levelness of dyes and reduce the color fastness, remove them as much as possible before dyeing elastic fabrics. Before dyeing elastic fiber blended grey cloth, the oil residue is usually invisible, but the metal complex dye is lipophilic, that is, the oil stain on the grey cloth is affine with it at the beginning of the dyeing process. When the dyeing temperature rises, the oil will be emulsified, but the dye will remain, resulting in irreversible stains. Cold water shall not be used for rinsing after washing, because it will cause the emulsified oil to precipitate again, resulting in defects on the textiles. The most effective method is to thoroughly overflow and rinse with hot water, and finally rinse with cold water.
